I always cherish & appreciate our friends not from Sabah writing about Mount Kinabalu, and this one post that never to be missed by all of us by Isolate Yourself (Australia).

isolate yourself

In this post we look beyond Australia to Mount Kinabalu ( 4095 metres above sea level ) in Borneo, Maylasia.  I climbed this mountain a couple of years ago and it was simply breathtaking.  The walk itself is divided into two days:  The first day is spent reaching a hut before while the second day involves the ascent of the summit and heading all the way back.  We had a guide with us as well as a local which carried our packs, leaving us with day packs.  This walk is achievable for anyone that has a reasonable level of fitness.  If you need something to get you across the line you get a lovely certificate for reaching the top, plus the spectacular views!
